As an important part of the ceremonial system of the imperial court, the “Yellow Gate advocacy” really embodied a new concept of the construction of ceremonial system and political power in the Emperor Wudi Dynasty, and also reflected the evolution of the monarchy’s autocratic centralized system in the Western Han Dynasty. From the dimension of institutional history, this paper reviews the changes of the vehicle system, dress system and suburb system involved in “Ganquan Brine Book”, and discusses the prerequisite and inevitability of the intersection of Emperor Wudi’s dynasty with “Yellow Gate Advocate” and “Ganquan Brine Book” around the time, elements, ideas and course of the reform. It believes that “Yellow Gate Advocate” is Emperor Wudi’s use of “Ganquan Brine Book” to promote the reform idea. The ceremonial instruments and necessary things showing the results of the centralized system played an important role in the system construction of the totalitarian monarchy of Emperor Wudi of Han Dynasty.
