Nankai New Troupe is a model of patriotic education in Nankai. During the Anti-Japanese War, the patriotism and maturity of the Nankai New Troupe and the brutal destruction and abuse of China and Nankai schools by the Japanese army were the basis for the patriotic practice of the new troupe. The Nankai New Troupe mainly carried out patriotic education by translating the Anti-Japanese War plays that exposed the darkness of the society, the reactionary rule of the Kuomintang and played the role of drama and battle in accordance with the war situation, and carried out propaganda performances and relief performances. These activities strengthened patriotism from the three dimensions of “point”, “block” and “face”, not only promoted the development of patriotic practice in schools in the rear area, provided cultural strength and material basis for Anti-Japanese War propaganda, but also formed a unique Nankai patriotic education experience of “taking society as the textbook” and “taking the group as the way” together with other patriotic education activities in Nankai School.
