Abstract:Vocational integrated education has emerged from the intersection of special education, vocational education and integrated education. Vocational integrated education is a model of vocational education in which person with disabilities share learning space, learning resources and activities with ordinary students in vocational institutions, and receive the necessary special support.Vocational integration education is designed to enable person with disabilities to enter general vocational schools and receive vocational education to improve their vocational abilities, promote their employment and all-round development, and give them equal opportunities to excel in life. The development of vocational integrated education is an effective way to realize high-quality employment and life for the disabled, which is an important indicator of China’s modernization. There exists a certain internal logic in the creation and development of vocational integrated education, namely, the theoretical logic of people-centeredness, the policy logic of quality enhancement as the core, and the practical logic of problem-driven orientation. Vocational integrated education has a nurturing value, a rehabilitation value, a development value and a social value. To promote the high-quality development of vocational integrated education, it is necessary to build a vocational integrated education system that suits the needs of the times, to explore a vocational education model for person with disabilities that adapts to the development of the times, to improve the safeguard mechanism for vocational integrated education by means of multi-party co-education, and to create an ecology of evaluation for vocational integrated education that focuses on comprehensive vocational abilities.
