Abstract:In order to study the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of the efficiency of science and technology finance in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, based on the panel data of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration from 2012 to 2023, this paper analyzes the spatio-temporal evolution and spatial pattern of the sci-tech financial efficiency of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolitan area by using directional super-efficiency SBM model, Malmquist index, global Molan index, standard deviation ellipse and spatial Markov chain. The empirical results show that the overall sci-tech financial efficiency of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration shows a “W” shape change, and the overall trend is increasing.There is a large gap in the efficiency of sci-tech finance within Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and there are differences in the improvement paths of sci-tech finance efficiency among different cities. The overall sci-tech financial efficiency in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration has a certain spatial impact, but the general pattern remains unchanged. Spatial factors will affect the efficiency of science and technology finance, and the efficiency of science and technology finance in cities is greatly affected by the original development level. This paper provides a theoretical basis for improving the efficiency of science and technology finance in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei from the perspective of efficiency decomposition and space, which is of great significance for promoting the coordinated development of science and technology finance in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
