Abstract:Based on the critical perspective of technological philosophy, it is possible to systematically examine the paradigm shift and development trend of film and television art in the AI era from three dimensions: the ontology of the image, the paradigm of generation, and the identity of the subject. From the dimension of image ontology, the research traces the history of art from cave paintings to digital images, revealing that human visual expression has always followed a spiral rising trajectory from objective realism to subjective experience. When AI technology enables creation of images to break through the limitations of physical laws, the embodied simulation based on neural networks will promote the completion of the transition from “reality reproduction” to “immersive” experience in the form of film and television, and become the dominant form of future images. From the dimension of the paradigm of generation, the research introduces the analytical tools of technological sociology, pointing out that the current probability-based “gacha” mode of AI generative image creation is transforming towards a deterministic “customization” mode. This transformation is not only seen in the optimization process of algorithms from random sampling to target-oriented, but also in the deep impact of this transformation on the structure of creative subjects and the imaging industry. From the dimension of subject identity, the research proposes that “value anchor” will occupy the core positioning of future creative subjects based on the above trends, and believes that in the context of increasing autonomy, the role of human creators will undergo a fundamental transformation, from specific technological operators to value judges and aesthetic decision makers. Therefore, the essence of future image creation is a philosophical practice carried out by humans with the algorithm as the medium, which is to achieve self-cognition and value expression through artificial intelligence technology. While breaking through the shackles of technologicalism, it continues the humanistic spirit core and demonstrates the humanistic adherence of the technological era.
