The generalization of Buddhist knowledge refers to the process of classifying and arranging Buddhist subjects according to their nature after they are introduced into the system of related books. The period of Tang and Song dynasties was a concentrated period of Buddhism categorization. The classification of Buddhist subject matter in such books showed a gradual trend, from few to many, from coarse to fine, reflecting people’s systematic grasp of Buddhist knowledge and detailed construction of their internal subject matter. There is a close coupling relationship between the two. The classification of Buddhist poems and texts is especially influenced by the classification of Buddhist poems and texts, which makes them separate and integrate in the dual dimensions of style and subject matter, and forms many types of Buddhist literature. Among them, temple poetry is the typical result of the compilation.
